Choose Your Own Adventure Year 9 & 10 Creative Writing Workshop

This workshop teaches students the key conventions of storytelling, including:

• Planning and composing a story that explores a specific theme or idea.
  
• The key concept of ‘show not tell’.
  
• How to use language and visual devices to evoke atmosphere and engage audiences.
  
• How to use multimodal elements to convey meaning.
  

Through creating their own digital ‘choose your own adventure’ narrative, students will be exposed to the idea of interactive storytelling, and consider the way that technology shapes how we tell and engage with stories, as well as how multimedia forms can be used to convey themes and ideas.

BYOD: This workshop requires students to bring a laptop!
