Some months ago, assorted ranks of groovy jazz players led by General Mojo (John Wilson), Corporal Punishment (Kenny the Sax), and Captain Obvious (Jude Murphy) descended on The Globe and brought the house down. They’re back for a rare outing and with a couple of new conscripts, Major Minor (Steve Chambers) and Lieutenant Funky (Rob Walker), bringing an eclectic and eccentric mix of funky Cissy Struts, Chickens and Sidewinders along with some Bebop classics – some fabulous instrumental and vocal entertainment right before Christmas, featuring a couple of local jazz legends who we don’t get to hear all that often!
