Kingman Explorers

Children and their grownups are invited to join our in-person, outdoor exploration with the Kingman Explorers program.

Did you know there were Islands in the middle of the District? Kingman and Heritage Islands Conservation Area is home to amazing ecosystems and open to the public. With Kingman Explorers, families are guided through exploration activities in this beautiful space. It is always a good idea to be prepared to get a little muddy during Kingman Explorers!

The target age for the program is 5-11 years old, but siblings are welcome. Group size will be limited to 30 for each session, including children (each sibling counts), and their accompanying grownup(s).

Safety guidelines will be enforced for everyone’s protection, including wearing a face mask when in very close proximity to other individuals from other participants outside their household. All families will also need to complete a waiver before participating. You only need to complete the waiver one time per family for the 2022 Explorers program.
