Join us at The Camel next Wednesday, December 21st for live music by The Party Favors and an art raffle featuring 15+ local RVA Artists! Doors open at 7pm, music starts at 7:30pm. All funds will go to support Safe Harbor's upcoming Playwriting Workshop! For this project, Safe Harbor staff and a local playwright will be working with survivors of Intimate Partner Violence whose lived experience of domestic violence will inform a fictional play about the realities of abuse, with a special focus on verbal and psychological tactics.
The purpose is to give survivors a chance to be involved in an artistic project that will further their healing and employ their lived experience to subvert cultural myths as well as start a conversation and educate our community on the realities of abuse.
