About the Event

The Winter Solstice is the darkest day of the year, which gently nudges us to go inward and reflect, rest, and nourish our body. Our Yin series will be lead by Lisa from Twisted Tree Yoga, accompanied by Crystal Singing Bowls by Allie from Aion Wellness. A fluid, supported space offers an opportunity to listen to our inner self and discover our needs, allowing you to shed what no longer serves you, and awaken your authentic intentions.

Flow & Sequence

To begin this hour-long workshop we will set the container, then move into a 40 minute Yin practice and Sound Bath. The session will finish with a Shavasana meditation where we open the channel for inner communication and set our intentions for the season.

Reminders

Yin

The winter solstice is the perfect time to practice yin. Yin is a practice of stressing, not stretching tissues. A practice that asks for stillness and time to calm the nervous system, encourage greater range of motion, and open the energetic channels of our bodies. Yin during the winter solstice can leave you feeling grounded, spacious, and ready to enjoy the embrace and quiet of winter. Allow these days of darkness to create a deeper connection to how you wish to compassionately evolve both personally and in community.

Sound Bath

These Crystal Singing Bowls are tuned to 432hz, what is understood to be the "base" frequency of the human body. Like a massive (and harmonious) tuning fork, these bowls fill the space with this specific vibration allowing your body to resonate back to homeostasis. The Winter Solstice is the ideal time to reset and realign our somatic tune as we shed the old, and connect with the new for the season ahead.
